Assumptions
- Published 2026 rules; single assessment; age reached during the tax year is 35.
- One PAYE salary for the full year, standard personal and employee credits, no pension contribution and no additional confirmed credits.
- No full medical card, State Pension, age exemption or other income. PRSI uses the existing model's annual estimate of the in-year rates.
- Monthly take-home pay is the annual estimate divided by 12, not an exact pay-period calculation.
Limitations
- Illustrative model outputs, not individual tax advice, a Revenue Payroll Notification or official Revenue statistics.
- Benefits in kind, MyFutureFund/auto-enrolment deductions, other deductions and personalised part-year residence calculations are excluded.
- No Budget 2027 announcement profile is used. Your actual credits and circumstances can change the answer.
Method and sources
Progressive income tax less eligible credits and age relief, plus separate USC and employee PRSI for each earner. Full-year PRSI blends the in-year rates; a planning date annualises the rate applicable on that date, with weekly credits and exemptions retained. Pension relief is limited by age and earnings for private contributions; MyFutureFund employee deductions receive no tax relief.
Review scope: Baseline rules year: 2026. Reviewed scope: Revenue 2026 standard PAYE bands/credits and USC bands; DSP Class A employee rates through September and from 1 October 2026.. This does not verify every selectable year, date or Budget announcement profile. Sources last checked 6 October 2026.
