About Count.ie
Mission
Count.ie offers calculators covering Irish tax, commercial pricing, property and everyday decisions. The aim is to make useful local calculations straightforward, show the method and state what a result cannot tell you.

How we check the figures
Dedicated calculator pages explain their methods and assumptions and link to official sources where relevant. Tax and scheme tools draw on guidance from bodies such as Revenue and the Central Bank of Ireland; general mathematics tools use the stated formulas. Enter your own figures and check any editable rate or assumption against your circumstances. Where a tool provides a dated rules profile, check that it matches your scenario. Rules change, so check the cited source before relying on a result. Not every tool is guaranteed to reflect the latest change on any given day.
What a calculator can tell you
Some tools are purely mathematical, such as loan repayments or percentages. Others apply Irish tax, lending or benefit rules, which depend on facts a calculator cannot see and on decisions made by Revenue, lenders or other bodies. A regulatory result is an estimate of how a published rule might apply, not a decision, entitlement or endorsement from any authority.
Estimates, not advice
Results are estimates for planning. They are not financial, tax, legal or accounting advice. For decisions with real consequences, speak to a suitably qualified professional.
Your privacy
Calculator inputs stay on your device. Messages you send to Summy go to Count.ie so it can reply and remember the conversation; questions needing AI also go to our provider. Guided calculations use calculator rules directly. Nothing is sent while you type. The website uses analytics, and your chosen preferences can be saved on your device.
